Public Art Project — memorial to the “godfather” of Go-Go, Chuck Brown. Sponsored by the DC Arts Commission and dedicated on Chuck’s birthday — 2 years after his death.

The pavilion canopy is 24ft tall. Chuck is 18ft tall. The taller “dancer” is 11ft tall. The total memorial installation is 44ft x 28ft including the “dance floors” , walkway entrances, and landscaping. The installation includes interactive lighting the pulses to the rhythms of Go-Go and respond to visitors movements.
