The Goddess Aphrodite is The Greek Goddess of Love, Beauty and Desire and is part of the “I Can Soar Series” which celebrates the “bass-ass” goddesses among us.

She’s 8ft tall and is composed of a mix of rhythmic slats and large panels of steel.  The composition is meant to convey her power and yearning.   The sunburst centered on, or emitting from, her core speaks of the mightiness of women's inner strength.   And particularly appropriate for Aphrodite as the godhead of female sexual power and erotic love.

 She is constructed of welded weathering Steel.  Weathering steel will develop a burnt-orange patina and then stop rusting.  She’ll be stable in the landscape for decades without need for maintenance.  Weathering steel was developed for bridge building.
