The original sculpture (Pivot-in-Gold) is inspired by a more modern variant on the traditional fouette ballet turn. In this variant, the extreme turnout pushes the buttock into an unnatural position and can feel like the dancer is slightly off-balance. This collage marries the Picasso-esque abstraction of the sculpture and reality of the dancer.
The vibrant reds, oranges and blues will animate any space.
