This piece in the Momentum Series is about strength, confidence and an independent spirit.  These attributes can take a girl anywhere she wants to go.  The piece, as all Braitman’s pieces, started with a 24” tall model sculpted in wax.  The piece was then digitized, manipulated digitally and fabricated in marine Douglas Fir (the wood often used to make boats).  Fabrication was with the aid of a computerized CNC machine. 

The piece can be displayed outdoors permanently in a sheltered position.  The piece is fully waterproof but could be injured by flying debris or hurricane force winds.  It is mounted on roller ball casters for easy repositioning indoors.  4 bolt holes facilitate outdoor installation.  If sited outdoors be prepared for the wood to quickly darken and weather.
