The Goddess Inanna is part of the "I Can Soar" Series. Inanna is the Sumarian Goddess of Love, Beauty, War and Justice. It reflects the feeling of joy and unlimited potential that the artist feels when listening to many of the renditions of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah". This contemporary artwork starts with a third-scale model of the figure hand-sculpted in wax. It is then digitized and manipulated digitally. The lines of the abstraction of the figure represent the lines of motion and the musculature of the body. The Corten steel will weather to a burnt-orange patina (as seen in the sculpture behind it in the last image). After developing the patina, it will stop rusting and will last for decades outside untreated.
